The Grosvenor G Casino New Brighton is part of the Marine Point complex at the north-eastern tip of the Wirral peninsula at the mouth of the river Mersey. Just to the north-east of Liverpool as the crow flies, New Brighton is a pleasant seaside town that is easy to reach yet detached from the hustle and bustle of the region’s big cities.
The casino itself is about 16 miles (around 40 minutes) from Liverpool’s John Lennon airport, whilst those coming from Liverpool city centre can be there within 20 minutes, either via the A59 or the Mersey Tunnel. Public transport is also an easy option with trains from Liverpool’s Lime Street Station taking about 25 minutes to reach New Brighton from where the casino is but a short stroll. There is plenty of free parking available to casino guests arriving by car.
In terms of gaming the casino offers an awful lot for poker fans, with a dedicated poker room, poker and golf packages, loads of scheduled cash games (usually starting at 8pm but check the casino for latest details) and “learn to play” and corporate poker packages also available. There is also a good number of roulette and blackjack tables, as well as slots and jackpot slots. Be sure to register on the casino site for Grosvenor’s Play Points card which rewards you for every pound spent in the casino, whether on games, food or drinks.
Aside from the lure of the tables the casino offers live televised sporting events, two bars selling a variety of drinks and snacks as well as a restaurant offering a full dining menu or lighter bites. The Marine Point complex where the casino is situated also offers a wide variety of retail and leisure options whilst there is a Travelodge for those wishing to stay near the casino. Alternative hotels include the Hollins Hey Hotel, Queens Royal or head to Liverpool for a full range of international options.
